Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZMThe "Information platform for 5G - IP45G" will be the primary source for questions in the context of the BMBF's 5G research priorities. Therefore its task is to ensure that the various collaborative projects are recorded in a structured manner with regard to their economic, application-related and technological priorities. The complexity of network technologies, industrial framework conditions and special functional requirements must be taken into account.
Among diverse topics, technological trends, regulatory activities and general commercial conditions in various markets such as automated and networked driving, industry 4.0, energy networks, media use and e-health are monitored. IP45G will prepare information in a structured way to generate a knowledge pool and promote synergies in cross-cutting issues. In addition, the individual projects are supported in their public relations work.
Tasks:
- Continuous monitoring of technical and economic trends
- Preparation of information to create synergies between the funded projects
- Analysis of cross-cutting issues such as system architectures, data security, resource requirements, economic viability, etc.
- Support of standardization activities of the sponsored projects and committee work
