Modeling and Optimization of Antennas and RF Transmitter/Receiver Components
Efficient design and elegant integration of RF modules are decisive in wireless data transmission and synchronization between mobile devices. Such modules mainly comprise embedded components (e.g. antennas, filters and switches), whose performance and reliability is strongly dependent on the substrate technology used. A high degree of miniaturization has led to antennas and the RF transceivers’ active and passive components being placed in close physical vicinity to each other, often resulting in unwanted electromagnetic interference (EMI). Our research group is dedicated to preventing EMI by improving the layout of antennas and components.
