Power Electronics - equipment and tools
Our Power Electronics Laboratory offers a wide range of possibilities for the development of innovative power electronics with state-of-the-art development tools and highly qualified staff.
Customer-developed power electronics can be commissioned and examined in detail. The development and characterization of particularly low-impedance embedded and DBC wide-bandgap power modules is of special importance for our future-oriented research activities. Furthermore, we perform EMC investigations, design, test and optimize passive and active filters.
Our portfolio covers automotive and industrial power electronics. This includes WBG power modules, EV traction inverters, on-board chargers, BMS electronics, high voltage DC/DC converters, DC wall boxes, high power fuses, PV inverters, high current power supplies, active common mode filters and much more.
In cooperation with other departments at Fraunhofer IZM, we can make cross sections, sonoscans, X-rays and CTs to investigate the quality of the interconnection technology. Our equipment fleet is constantly being adapted to meet new challenges.
