Networking with Science and Industry

OpTec-Berlin-Brandenburg (OpTecBB) e.V. is an association of private enterprises and scientific institutions committed to furthering the development of optical and microsystem technologies, encouraging their implementation, and promoting standards in photonic connection technology. The association is focused on:

• photonics and quantum technology for communication and sensors
• microsystem technology
• optical analytics
• lighting technology and laser technology
• biophotonics and ophthalmic optics

The association’s members research cost-efficient solutions in cooperation with OpTecBB and Fraunhofer IZM, e.g. to meet the demand for increasing bandwidth in data communication with more powerful communication and sensor systems.
