This year, teams from Fraunhofer IZM once again traded cars and trains for bicycles and set a personal record - with more than 20,000 kilometers in the city cycling competition! An incredible distance, equivalent to the route from Berlin to Australia!

The challenge in the Germany-wide campaign is to cover as many everyday journeys as possible by bike within 21 days, thus contributing to climate protection and improving the cycling infrastructure.

In Berlin alone, the almost 30,000 cyclists avoided 1,065 tons of CO2 in this way.
