Once Again Fraunhofer IZM Apprentice is Honored by Chamber of Commerce
Along with other apprentices throughout Berlin, Fraunhofer IZM apprentice Janine Scholtz was recognized for her outstanding results in the 2006/2007 winter semester examinations. Dr. Eric Schweitzer, president of the Berlin IHK (Chamber of Commerce and Industry), presented the certificate and a book voucher at an award ceremony at the Audi Center in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
After finishing her basic training and clean room training at Fraunhofer IZM, Janine Scholtz participated in several working groups over two years, among others in the areas of optical interconnection technologies and joining technologies for electrical applications.
After Julia Moch, who was among Berlin's top apprentices last year, Janine Scholtz is the second IZM apprentice to be honored by the Berlin Chamber of Commerce for her excellent grades. "We are proud to have once again guided one of our trainees through the vocational training process so successfully. Janine is perfectly trained for our specific requirements and we are pleased she has decided to continue working for Fraunhofer IZM as a technical assistant at our labs in Berlin-Adlershof,” says Stefan Ast, who is in charge of vocational training at Fraunhofer IZM.
