During the Packaging Day 2005 in Berlin, the iNEMI International Recognition Award was presented.

In recognition of his contributions to the 2004 iNEMI Roadmap, Rolf Aschenbrenner was given the iNEMI International Recognition Award.
The board of Directors wrote: " With your technical and management skills, you guided technology experts from the IEEE CPMT Society to provide global input to the first international edition of the iNEMI Roadmap. Primarily as a result of this effort, representatives from eleven countries patricipated in the 2004 iNEMI Roadmap. We are confident that future editions will see even greater international patricipation as we project the needs of the global electronis industry."
